Function: It serves its intended purpose. It holds water, and it holds it very well. It has never leaked on me. It does sweat, but I expected that. Due to my heavy use of it some of the lettering is coming off, although it is still legible. The stripped texture on the lid is very conductive to grip for tightening or removal. It is easier to wash than many bottles I have. I do have trouble fitting it into some cup holders, but I knew it was a larger bottle.
Quality: It feels sturdy and looks sturdy. I have dropped it a few times in the house and on tile with no resulting cracks or marks. I have never dropped it on concrete though. I carry this bottle by the strap that holds the cap on. A few people have mentioned that it broke on them. I have not experienced this. I like that it is leak proof when closed, I filled the bottle and put it in a coffee cup upside down and left it overnight and it didn’t loose a drop. The filter seems to work in that the water always tastes the same and feels clean with no weird taste or smells. I like I can fill from any public sink or fountain and the water tastes as good as bottled. Also because the filter is in the straw I put ice in the bottle and the taste doesn’t change as the ice melts like when I add non filtered ice to my filtered water from my pitcher at home.
Filters are cheap and last 2 or more months so you can get a years worth of filters for about $10. You can get a bottle and replacement filters for a year for the cost of about 15 bottles of water.
I have seen complaints that over time the mouth piece gets nasty and hard to clean. I haven’t had that problem yet but it is replaceable so I don’t understand the issue maybe they were not aware. 3) It never drips or leaks. Let me tell you, others do. Most of the places I go throughout the day are not appropriate for a wet t-shirt contest, even though I know it brings all eyes on me.
